Real estate investors are those individuals who purchase, sell or manage landed properties, buildings and other related projects. There are prominent Nigerians who are making waves in the real estate sector.

In the recent past, there has been increasing demands for landed properties in Nigeria by investors and developers alike which has made the real estate business very lucrative and profitable.

Many prominent Nigerians have made indelible mark in the real estate sectors hence we shall be discussing each of the real estate investors who have contributed their quota to the real estate business in Nigeria. 

List Of Real Estate Investors In Nigeria

The list of real estate investors in Nigeria is endless but we’ve researched and found the best investors in real estate management. Hence, we shall be discussing the investors one after the other. Let’s go through it together.

1. Ugochukwu Obiora Chime

Ugochukwu Obiora Chime is the Group Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Copen Group.

He has over 35 years experience in both public and private sectors. He majors in real estate management, physical development consultancy, banking, agriculture, manufacturing, and construction. Copen Group has offices in different parts of Nigeria like Abuja, Enugu, Abakaliki. They also have offices in Ghana.

Chime is a Surveyor by profession hence he is a member of the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors (NIS) and the Nigerian Institution of Building(NIOB). In April 1999, Chime constructed and delivered the Enugu State Primary Education Board (SPEB) building which was his first project.

Copen Group has delivered thousands of housing units including the 500 housing unit estate at Taraba State which the company delivered in 2002 in collaboration with the Taraba state Government. Chime is a consultant to different professional bodies like State Housing Corporations, Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria, and other corporate bodies. Some of the works that Copen Group has completed include Design of the urban renewal of Ogoja , Calabar and Ikom all in Cross River State, among others. 

Apart from the above-mentioned professional bodies, Chime is the chairman of Enugu geographical zone of NECA and he is also a member of the governing council of Nigeria Employers’ Consultative Association (NECA). Before now, he headed the Board of Bethel Microfinance Bank LTD till 2022. He was also chairman of the Board of Directors, Enugu State Housing Development Corporation (2003 to 2007) and many other posts too numerous to mention.

Oba Adetola Emmanuel King is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Adron Homes & Properties Limited. The primary vision of this company is to provide affordable housing to Nigerians. The company claims to offer affordable homes to Nigerians. 

Education

Oba Adetola is a graduate of Yaba College of Technology where he graduated with a diploma in estate management. Currently, he holds a master’s degree in housing development & management from the University of Ibadan.

Career

Adetola joined WEMABOD Estates Limited, Ibadan in 1992 where he started his estate management career. In 2002, he became the property manager of Boameges Estates Limited.

In pursuance of his vision, he later  joined the defunct Power Holding Company of Nigeria(PHCN) Ibadan were he served as the Senior Manager. Later, Adetola became the Assistant General Manager, Estate Marketing & Operation at SIM Properties and Homes Limited, an office he held for seven years. After serving as the Executive Director Evenmore Properties Investment Limited, Adetola established Adron Homes and Properties Ltd which is operational till date.

3. Bamidele Onalaja

Bamidele Onalaja is the founder & Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of RevolutionPlus.

Education

Onalaja is a graduate of Economics from Lagos State University. He also holds an MBA in Marketing. Although he is an economist his career revolves around estate development.

Onalaja started his career as a mortgage bank worker which shaped his mind and spurred him to start real estate businesses. He ventured into the real estate business in partnership with his wife. He is the chairman of the Lagos State of Real Estate Developer Association of Nigeria.

5. Dr. Kennedy Nnadi

He is widely known for his burning desire in procurement and selling of plots of lands in fast developing parts of Lagos state where he makes lots of fortune. Pennek Nigeria LTD offers real estate management solutions to both organizations and individual investors alike. Apart from real estate management, Dr. Nnadi also boasts years of experience in the oil & gas sector, importation and other related investments.

Nnadi is a graduate of Federal University of Technology, Owerri where he read social science. In his days of little beginning, he worked at the  National Commission for Museums and Monuments where he rose to the rank of Associate Pedologist. In his quest for education, Dr. Nnnadi enrolled into the Lagos Business School and Strathmore Business School, Kenya. Hon. Agu has more than 20 years experience in property management. About 18 months into the assumption of office as the General Manager/CEO of Enugu State Housing Development Corporation, he quickly started the development of over six estates which were , Transparency, WTC, Citadel I &II, Rangers I &II, Heritage etc. which were aim at tackling accommodation problems in Enugu metropolis and its environs.

Under his watch as MD/CEO of ESHDC, the corporation has built and completed the following estates  Vintage, Conquest, Himaleyers, Valley Estate 1 & 2, Citadel Estate Phase 1&2, Rangers Estate Phase 1&2, WTC Estate, Liberty Estate etc among other numerous projects. 

Agu has bagged different awards like CEO of Housing Corporation in 2019 and Best Managing Director of Housing Corporation in Nigeria in 2021.

8. Prince Omoha Nduka
